{"id":112852,"date":"2024-06-28T12:06:31","date_gmt":"2024-06-28T12:06:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/new.nala.ge\/with-the-support-of-nalag-fifteen-civil-servants-from-georgian-municipalities-will-participate-in-a-qualification-enhancement-program-in-greece\/"},"modified":"2024-10-22T11:49:45","modified_gmt":"2024-10-22T11:49:45","slug":"with-the-support-of-nalag-fifteen-civil-servants-from-georgian-municipalities-will-participate-in-a-qualification-enhancement-program-in-greece","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/new.nala.ge\/en\/with-the-support-of-nalag-fifteen-civil-servants-from-georgian-municipalities-will-participate-in-a-qualification-enhancement-program-in-greece\/","title":{"rendered":"With the support of NALAG, fifteen civil servants from Georgian municipalities will participate in a Qualification Enhancement program in Greece"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>With the support of the National Association of Local Authorities of Georgia and the LEPL International Education Center of Georgia, fifteen civil servants employed in local self-governments will travel to Greece and undergo a special course to improve their qualifications.<br \/>The representatives of the municipalities were selected through a three-stage competition, which was implemented by the International Education Center in cooperation with the European Public Law Organization (EPLO) and the European School of Law and Governance (ELGS).<br \/>The Qualification Enhancement program for local municipalities of Georgia will take place on July 8-19, 2024, at the EPLO premises in Athens and Legraina, Greece.<br \/>Today, in connection with the mentioned topic, the executive directors of NALAG and the LEPL International Education Center &#8211; Nino Rukhadze and Nunu Mickevich, along with the head of the European Public Law Organization (EPLO) regional representation, Ioseb Nanobashvili, held a meeting with the scholars.<br \/>The program encompasses topics such as: The EU decision-making procedures and an institutional chain of the EU decision-making; The EU unique institutional set-up; European Elections; EU law-making, its implementation and monitoring; legislative competence-sharing between the EU and its member states; EU Judiciary system; EU Enlargement; EU membership criteria and accession stages; Georgia on its path toward the EU membership: 1991-2024; EU and its neighborhood after the EU \u201cBig Bang\u201d enlargement of 2004-2007 \u2013 Western Balkans vs Post-soviet countries, etc.<br \/>In the end of the program, participants will be invited to take tests.
