{"id":112927,"date":"2024-09-26T15:20:32","date_gmt":"2024-09-26T15:20:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/new.nala.ge\/nalag-launches-youth-education-activities-under-the-ecoyou-project\/"},"modified":"2024-10-22T11:49:41","modified_gmt":"2024-10-22T11:49:41","slug":"nalag-launches-youth-education-activities-under-the-ecoyou-project","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/new.nala.ge\/en\/nalag-launches-youth-education-activities-under-the-ecoyou-project\/","title":{"rendered":"NALAG Launches Youth Education Activities Under the &#8220;EcoYOU&#8221; Project"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The National Association of Local Authorities of Georgia (NALAG) held eco-educational seminars for students living in Gori municipality.<br \/>The training covered topics related to waste management, climate change, the circular economy, and the importance of protected areas.<br \/>After completing the educational program, participants cleaned up the area around the Tana River.<br \/>The events were part of the &#8220;EcoYOU: Clean and Green Minds for Environmentally Friendly Behavior&#8221; project, organized in collaboration with the Gori Municipality Development and the Tana and Tedzimi Protected Landscape Management Agency.<br \/>The project&#8217;s goal is to increase communities&#8217; and local authorities&#8217; involvement in environmental protection activities, with a focus on reducing microplastics in rivers, lakes, and along seashores.<br \/>&#8220;EcoYOU&#8221; involves transnational cooperation between environmental NGOs, educational institutions, civil servants, and youth groups.
