The National Association of Local Authorities of Georgia held a working meeting with regional civil society organizations focused on gender equality and women’s empowerment in the Kakheti region.<\/p>\n
The meeting was organized as part of the project \u201cWomen’s Leadership for Democracy in Georgia\u201d and was facilitated by UN Women representative and project analyst Marika Jobava.<\/p>\n
The meeting participants were introduced to the mandate of the National Association of Local Self-Governments by Tamar Prangishvili, a leading consultant at NALAG, and discussed the importance of civil society participation in implementing the European Charter for Equality of Women and Men in Local Life.<\/p>\n
A discussion was held during the meeting, where representatives of regional organizations shared challenges related to their activities. Participants also presented their own recommendations.<\/p>\n
